Insights Intelligent Insights by Instructure consists of four insightful tools: Ask Your Data, Students in Need of Attention, LTI Usage, and Course Readiness. Thanks to recent updates, Ask Your Data and Students in Need of Attention can be used by individuals who have the View Only role or specially created roles in Elevate NM, Excel NM, or other PED subaccounts. This access only applies to subaccounts located within the main PED account and not to LEAs that are using Canvas as their Learning Management System (LMS). If your LEA is interested in having Intelligent Insights, please reach out for information.

Ask Your Data and Students in Need of Attention will only return results within the Excel NM, Elevate NM, or other subaccount you are currently in.

Students in Need of Attention is also available at the course level. Evaluators, facilitators, or instructors are able to utilize many of the above features by going to Course Analytics. Customize the filters that best fit your needs and use the messaging options for improved communication.

To start, navigate through the Admin Shield to access a subaccount (i.e. Excel NM 24-25) and then select Admin Analytics from the account menu (like the below screenshot).

A new screen should appear, and you will select the Intelligent Insights dropdown, where you can select Ask Your Data or Students in Need of Attention. Note the subaccount information breadcrumb in blue at the top.

What can Ask Your Data in Intelligent Insights be used for?

- - Ask questions about data in plain language, resulting in AI generated, accurate responses.
  - Identify data patterns and trends to download or create graphs and tables.
  - Make data-driven decisions and inquiries.
  - Pin key questions and share on a Pinboard for collaboration.

- - Identify struggling participants and download results.
  - Flag participants based on various criteria to intervene early and provide targeted communication.
  - Use dynamic variables to automatically personalize your communication to facilitators, evaluators, and participants.
